Just restored, the dovecote of the Domaine du Buc is a true witness to the heritage of the Tarn.

It is undoubtedly inspired by the style of the country, but reinterpreted by a 1900 look. It is a dovecote of square section , with a roof with four slopes , surmounted by a bell tower also with four slopes, but in much larger dimensions than traditional constructions of this type.

This dovecote has a revolving ladder inside, allowing easy access to the wicker nests (called bowls) attached to all the interior walls. The construction also has two wings, located on the same plane. On the ground floor, the left side is reserved for poultry, the right side for the kennel.

Upstairs, a gallery accessed by a ladder opens onto small huts, which serve as hutches . The 2 courtyards, which face each of the wings, are surrounded by an elegant low wall , partly openwork and built with kinds of superimposed round tiles, and partly formed of Tarn pebbles and bricks laid at an angle, in alternating rows. , a common construction method in the region.
